Mark your calendars for June 10 for Fr. Baker’s going-away potluck dinner following the 10:30am mass on Sunday. The parish will furnish the meat for this meal and all parishioners are asked to bring a favorite dish to share with fellow parishioners. Let us show Fr. Baker how much we have appreciated his last nine years with us at St. Ann Parish.

Bishops Promote Political Responsibility With Online Resources

      Stay informed – be prepared

Blog posts, YouTube videos, an online quiz and resources on Facebook are among the ways U.S. Catholics can learn about the Church’s teaching on issues and involvement in the political process, as part of an initiative of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). These resources promote the document, “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship.”  Click here to read more: http://www.usccb.org/news/2012/12-072.cfm.

      HHS Birth Control Mandate updates

      Defend our religious freedom!

The recent ruling by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requires that most religious institutions provide free contraceptives and sterilizations via employee health programs. This is a grave threat to religious freedom in our country.

    • PRAYER FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE JOHN PAUL II CATHOLIC SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT

Holy St. Joseph, spouse of Mary, be mindful of the Catholics of Union County and our school building project. Pray for us; watch over us. Guardian of the paradise of the new Adam, provide for our temporal needs. Faithful guardian of the most precious of all treasures, we beseech you to bring this project to a happy end if it be for the glory of God and the good of our souls.   Amen.

Saint Ann School was opened in 1912.  We will soon celebrate our 100th anniversary. Because of the age of the building, the parishioners of St. Ann began discussing the need for a new school in 2005.  The parish, with the permission of Bishop McRaith, began purchasing property across Church Street with the vision of locating a new school there. In 2008 the St. Ann School Board, the school staff, the parish staff, the parish council, and finance council, each discussed what a new school for St. Ann should look like.  The proposed plans which you see here are the result of these discussions.  Nothing has been finally determined.  This is our dream.  To see more building plans, click here.
